Chris Neufeld is the Northwest Prefabrication Leader at DPR Construction, where he works with project teams, clients, designers, and trade partners to integrate prefabrication and industrialized-construction strategies into complex commercial projects. With nearly two decades of AEC experience, Chris has developed particular expertise in healthcare and life-science facilities, MEP systems, Lean construction, Integrated Project Delivery, Virtual Design & Construction, Target Value Design, and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA). His project experience includes major healthcare facilities such as the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, where prefabrication and intensive multidisciplinary coordination have played central roles in project delivery.

As a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Offsite Construction, Chris brings the perspective of a practitioner responsible for moving prefabrication from isolated project tactics toward repeatable methods of delivery. His work focuses on how earlier collaboration, standardized building systems, precision modeling, and integrated teams can improve safety, productivity, schedule certainty, and quality across the building process. He is also active in industry education and knowledge sharing, including mentoring graduate students through Stanford University’s AEC Global Teamwork program and speaking publicly about the practical adoption of prefabrication and modular construction.
